Management of the Program to obtain PCI Compliance certification, in accordance with the Payment Card Industry requirements, for an Australian Financial Services company.
The program included significant IT Implementations and changes, as well as updates to numerious Websites and Payment Gateways
The program was completed on time and to a tight timeline.
Management of the Program to change Insurance Underwriter for the Australian and New Zealand business units.
This was a requirement following a change of ownership from a Publicly Listed Company on the ASX to being acquired by Zurich Insurance in early 2017.
I managed multiple projects and delivered the complete changeover to a strict deadline. It involved both Technical (IT) and Business (Insurance) aspects, many staff and customer personel and significant changes to Websites and printed collateralls.
Management of the Program to completion, which included the design and implementation of an Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) System, provided through multiple external Vendors and the internal IT Team.
The program included a number of sub-projects for the implementation of the Informatica IDQ System, Gigya social media authentication system, Customer Account Portal and Westpac Quick Vault.
This Program included systems integration, between new and current systems as well as the achievement of data throughput Performance Targets to support the whole business, including projected growth and through all distribution channels.
It was a large and complex Program, with many challenges that were met with dedicated and persistent effort from all involved in the Program.
Chaired the Project Governance Steering Committee, for an Australian insurance provider and provided advice to Senior Management on major project initiatives
I have conducted numerous project reviews, conducted vendor due diligence reviews and participated as a member of the customer's Project Portfolio Committee, which has the oversight and control over the company's multi-million dollar capital expenditure budget.
I have also had integral involvement with the preparation and implementation of Risk and Compliance systems for customers in Australia and Asia.
Set up of new Call Centre operations in Brisbane, Malaysia, Auckland NZ and a new Corporate Head Office in North Sydney including all aspects of the Leasing, Fitout design and Building Services provision.
Other projects have included full office design and Fitout for customers located in Brisbane, Melbourne, Singapore, China and India.
In all these sites the design and implemnetation included IT Infrastucture as well as Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning.
I have been involved in the strategic review of IT for an Australian ASX listed company, including the roll out of IT initiatives from the review.
I managed projects within the IT area, including complex integrated projects with Web front end and back office data management systems.
I have managed the preparation and implementation of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning as well as Crisis Management Planning.
Previous roles have included the IT Department, as a part of my overall Technology Management responsibilities.
I have been contracted to Project Manage the process to obtain an Australian Financial Services Licence for for three of my Customers.
For two of these licences I have been a Responsible Manager under the licence and on one licence, the Key Person for the licence.
These licences have covered both insurance and warranty products.
I have many years of experience in Technology Development, including product design, manufacture and distribution, both in Australia and Overseas.
Two notable projects I have undertaken are:
The development of the TaxiVision (an in vehicle video delivery system for advertising) for Microvision Limited UK, including project management of the technology development as well as business planning, financial modelling and completion of the 'proof of concept' phase in U.K. as well as approval by the PCO for use in London Cabs.
The SecurEftpos and BioLoop (a secure method for credit card payment transactions), which was incorporated into Payment Teminals and approved for use in Banking Systems.
Both projects involved product and system design, patent applications (patents were subsequently issued), development to commercialisation and the corporate structure, the latter was eventually acquired by an Australian Public Company.
More recently, many projects have been undertaken for the financial services industry, including web based transactional systems, productivity tools and training systems.
Implementation of Telematics, to automate roadside assistance services, in conjunction with key automotive manufacturers, including call centre integration.
I have worked with various Telematics system providers and car manufacturers, including BMW, to provide Telematics systems for my customers.
I have also implemented Stolen Vehicle Tracking systems across a number of prestige vehicle brands.
My role as a Project Director within OneLink, as well as an Alternate Director of the consortium company OneLink, representing Mayne Nickless Limited, included all technical and contractual responsibilities for Mayne Nickless and the financial performance of the Rail Equipment Installation project.
The project involved numerous workshops and design review meetings with both internal staff in engineering, software architecture and design and external consultants in all areas of technology, business, financial and legal aspects of the project.
The Project Directors met regularly, at least weekly over the 4 year life of the project and reviewed all aspects of the project, from design specifications, the schedule, finished systems and products and contractual issues.
